Defenda! is played on a scrolling screen which shows a section of the level
on which your spaceship appears. On each level different types of
aliens appear which kill on contact. The objective of the game is to
destroy all the aliens of the screen while trying to protect the men
standing on the surface of the planet. The green aliens will try to whisk
away the men and if they succeed the alien turns into a nasty pink one.
When all the men have gone the spaceship goes into deep space which contains
many pink aliens.
As well as aliens there are volcanoes and mines which have to be avoided,
and also asteroids which when shot several time will reveal a bonus bubble.
When collected the bubble will give one of the following:
Extra Life, Extra Smart Bomb, Mace, Extra Speed or 1000 points.
The ship is controlled with a joystick in port one, the controls are:
Joystick Up - Move spaceship up
Joystick Down - Move spaceship down
Joystick Left - Accelerate to the left
Joystick Right - Accelrate to the right
Joystick Fire - Fire Laser
Joystick Fire Held Down - Release smart bomb
Mouse Button - While playing game, self destruct
While not playing game, quit game
The game is run by typing AmigaDefenda! at the CLI or clicking on the icon
in WorkBench.
The files needed for the game are:

The file highscores is used to remember the high scores, it is loaded
with the game and saved when you quit the game.
This game was written on a 1MB Amiga with one disk drive, the software
used was DPaintII, A68K, Blink, Data2Obj, Memacs and various other utilites.
